Darren Carthy PhD is an experienced accreditation executive with Engineers Ireland, managing programmatic accreditations for higher education institutions and leading multidisciplinary reviews for the International Engineering Alliance, including the upcoming Washington Accord review. Previously serving as a Learning & Development executive, Darren conducted audits of engineering organizations and enhanced client relationships. As an assistant lecturer at Technological University Dublin, contributions included developing reusable learning materials and designing curricula for physics labs. Additionally, involvement as a researcher in the European Commission's PREFER project entailed creating training materials for engineering students and facilitating expert panel discussions. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Engineering Education and various degrees in Physics Technology and Environmental Physics, complemented by a professional diploma in Coaching & Mentoring.
