Leisha Fernando is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from McMaster University, possessing a diverse range of experience in technical and educational roles. Currently a Technical Trainee at Engineered Air since July 2022, Leisha engages in a rotational program focusing on manufacturing and design-related responsibilities, including HVAC unit design and client communication. Prior experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant for engineering courses at McMaster University, where support was provided to first-year students in design and materials science. Leisha's formative roles as Head Pro for Learn to Skate and Junior Instructor in Aquatics with the City of Mississauga showcase strong leadership and instructional skills. Additional positions at WSP included Mechanical Design Engineer and Building Science Consultant, where relevant technical expertise was gained in system design and project management. Leisha's commitment to education and engineering is further exemplified through previous involvement as a Community Solutions Designer and a Music Tutor.
