Principal Software Engineer (Remote) at Energy Worldnet

Taylor Buchanan has a diverse work experience in the software development field. They started their career at Wolf Manufacturing Co. as a Software Developer, where they developed and tested a VB.NET application for processing shipping orders and handled Microsoft Excel automation.

In 2011, they moved on to DonorDirect and took on the role of Software Developer. Here, they developed and maintained different parts of the DonorStudio donor management suite, including the StudioEnterprise Windows front-end. They also led new development efforts, including a C# REST API.

In 2014, Taylor joined ISN as an Advanced Software Developer, where they developed and maintained ISNetworld, a SaaS ASP.NET site for managing contractor health and safety information.

Later that year, they also started working at Energy Worldnet (EWN), initially as a Senior Software Developer, where they developed and maintained energyworldnet.com, a SaaS ASP.NET site for managing pipeline qualifications and safety information. They then progressed to the role of Software Engineer, where they redesigned the authentication infrastructure and developed the EWN Mobile app using Xamarin in C#. They ultimately became a Principal Software Engineer, leading internal developer training and conducting technical interviews.

Taylor's work experience demonstrates a strong skill set in various programming languages and frameworks, including VB.NET, JavaScript, T-SQL, ASP.NET Web API, and Xamarin. They have expertise in developing and maintaining SaaS applications and have experience in leading development efforts.

Taylor Buchanan has a high school diploma from Waxahachie High School, which was obtained from 2006 to 2009. They further pursued their education at Texas State Technical College from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Computer Science. Additionally, Taylor has obtained the certification of Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in April 2021.
