José Andrade has an extensive work experience in the field of civil and mechanical engineering. José started their career as an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University in 2006 and held this position until 2010. José then joined Caltech where they served as a Professor and later became the George W. Housner Professor of Civil and Mechanical Engineering. During their time at Caltech, José also took on the role of Executive Officer, overseeing the department's academic, administrative, and financial operations. In 2017, José joined Energy Vault as an Advisor and later became a Senior Advisor to the Chief Operating Officer. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Innovation and Civil Engineering at Energy Vault.
José Andrade completed their education in the field of Civil Engineering. José earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Florida Institute of Technology in 2001. José then pursued further studies at Stanford University, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil Engineering in 2003. José Andrade continued their education at Stanford and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Civil Engineering in 2006.
