John Livengood is an experienced geospatial professional currently serving as the EMNRD Enterprise Geospatial Coordinator for the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department of New Mexico since December 2019. In this role, John leads geospatial initiatives, focusing on the ArcGIS Enterprise platform and mentoring division coordinators. Notably, John received the Special Achievement in GIS award in 2023 and has played a pivotal role in developing the State of New Mexico Methane Map as part of the NM Climate Action Initiative. Prior to this, John held various positions at the Pacific Disaster Center, Northrop Grumman, Titan Corporation, and the Environmental Protection Agency, with a strong emphasis on disaster management and geospatial analysis. John holds a BS in Urban Planning from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
