Jacob Pederson serves as the Resource Management Bureau Chief in the Forestry Division of the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department of New Mexico, overseeing forestry and watershed restoration programs across six districts. Pederson has a robust background in forest management, having also held the position of Forest Restoration Officer within the same department, where responsibilities included managing staff and supporting various forestry committees. Prior experience includes roles such as Tree Planting Director at Cambium Carbon, Project Manager for abandoned mine reclamation in New Mexico, and coordinator for floodplain projects in Pierce County. Jacob Pederson holds dual Master's degrees in Environmental and Forest Sciences and Public Administration from the University of Washington, as well as a Bachelor's degree in English from Western Washington University.
