Renaud Richard is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of optical technology and product development. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Product Manager and Senior Scientist at Energetiq Technology since November 2020, Renaud specializes in the research and development of laser-driven light sources aimed at advancing applications within the semiconductor industry. Previously, Renaud held several positions at LEDVANCE (formerly OSRAM Sylvania) from December 2007 to August 2020, including Senior Product Engineer and Principal Scientist within the Luminaire Engineering Group. In those roles, Renaud provided technical expertise for new product development and successfully led the development of LED luminaires through various phases. Renaud's background also includes significant contributions to high-pressure discharge lamps, notably developing a new ceramic process leading to substantial cost savings and leading the creation of an innovative self-ballasted HID lamp. Renaud holds a Master's degree in Applied Physics from Caltech and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from McGill University.
