David Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. David is currently the Founder and CEO of enee.io, where they developed a system for monitoring battery vitals using IoT sensors and real-time dashboards. Prior to this, they founded Tontio.com.

From 2018 to 2020, David worked at Philadelphia Scientific UK, initially as a Market Development specialist and later as a Sales Director. Philadelphia Scientific is a global leader in products and services for motive power and standby batteries.

Before their time at Philadelphia Scientific UK, David co-founded BUYANYPART.CO.UK in 2018. From 2002 to 2006, they served as the Sales and Marketing Manager at Schaltbau Machine Electrics Ltd. Prior to that, David worked as a Recruitment Consultant at Hays from 2000 to 2002.

David's career began in the Merchant Navy, where they worked as a Navigation Officer from 1991 to 2000. Overall, they have gained extensive experience in sales, marketing, entrepreneurship, and leadership roles across various industries.

David Smith attended the Alliance Manchester Business School in 2016, where they completed the Manchester Leadership Development Programme (MLDP) focused on management. Prior to this, they studied at Staffordshire University from 1997 to 2000, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Geography. In 1991, they enrolled at Warsash Maritime Academy and completed a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Nautical Science.
