Toma Bilius has a strong background in software engineering, with a focus on embedded programming and real-time operating systems. Starting in 2006, Toma worked at FOC 2000 S.R.L as an intern and developer, where they developed desktop and web solutions for a tourism company. In 2008, they joined Luxoft as a software developer before moving on to Enea Software in 2012. At Enea Software, Toma worked as a software engineer and was responsible for embedded programming for a medical healthcare appliance and Enea OSE Real-Time operating system as part of the Tools Team. Currently, Toma is working as a software engineer at Enea AB.

Toma Bilius pursued their education in a chronological manner. From 1999 to 2003, they attended Ion Neculce College, where they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Following this, they enrolled at Facultatea de Electronica si Telecomunicatii, Universitatea "Politehnica" din București, where they studied from 2003 to 2009. Toma obtained their Master's Degree in IFIA - Images, Shapes, and Artificial Intelligence from this institution. In addition to their formal education, Toma Bilius also obtained a certification in Hackerrank problem solving (Intermediate) from HackerRank in February 2023.
