Dimitri Stiliadis

Co-Founder and CTO at Endor Labs

Dimitri Stiliadis has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Dimitri co-founded Endor Labs in 2022 and currently serves as the Co-Founder and CTO. At Endor Labs, they focus on simplifying and securing software engineering processes and enabling organizations to select and maintain Open Source Software at scale.

Prior to that, Dimitri worked as the Cloud CTO at Palo Alto Networks from 2020 to 2021. Dimitri was also the Founder and CTO of Aporeto, a company acquired by Palo Alto Networks, where they focused on the security of micro-services and distributed systems at scale.

Before their time at Palo Alto Networks, Dimitri co-founded Nuage Networks in 2011, where they served as the CTO & Co-Founder. Dimitri played a crucial role in developing the company's technology, products, and building relationships with customers and advisors.

From 2010 to 2012, Dimitri worked as the CTO Alcatel-Lucent Ventures, leading the company's cloud computing and data center strategy. Dimitri introduced ideas around telco-cloud, which later contributed to the NFV movement. Additionally, they evaluated and led venture funding opportunities in various areas.

Prior to their time at Alcatel-Lucent Ventures, Dimitri held the position of Senior Director, Computer Systems and Security Research at Bell Labs Research from 2008 to 2010. Dimitri led a cross-disciplinary team and guided researchers in commercializing their ideas, focusing on distributed systems, security, and cryptography.

From 2005 to 2008, Dimitri worked at Alcatel-Lucent Ventures as the CTO and Head of Engineering - Mobile Security. Dimitri founded and led a spin-in/venture that delivered unique solutions for security and remote management of laptops utilizing 3G wireless networks. Dimitri pioneered concepts in remote management and security of mobile devices.

Earlier in their career, Dimitri worked as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Bell Labs Research from 1996 to 2005. Dimitri held various R&D positions and led large engineering teams in areas such as IP, optical, and wireless networks. Their work included performance optimization in 3G wireless networks and architecting an all-optical packet router for a government-funded project.

Dimitri Stiliadis pursued their education in the field of Computer Engineering. Dimitri began their academic journey in 1987 at the University of Patras, Greece, where they completed their Diploma degree in Computer Engineering in 1992. Following this, in the same year, they enrolled at the University of California, Santa Cruz and obtained their Master's degree in Computer Engineering in 1994. Dimitri continued their studies at the same institution and successfully completed their Ph.D. in Computer Engineering in 1996.
