Caity H. has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy industry and project management. Caity worked at Encore Renewable Energy as a Senior Project Manager, leading new market project development and supporting utility-scale and commercial-scale projects. Caity also managed construction portfolios and led efforts in Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Prior to that, at WSP USA, Caity served as a Solar Assistant Project Manager, supporting the construction and maintenance of solar arrays and implementing tracking tools. Caity also worked as a Facility Operations Management Consultant and Project Manager, leading office renovation and construction projects. Caity's experience also includes working as a Field Engineer at CS Energy, a Public Safety Outreach and Damage Prevention Consultant at Consumers Energy, and a Research Assistant at Taubman College of Architecture. Caity began their career as an Intern at Olivet Machine Tool Engineering Company and Civil Engineers, Inc. Caity also has experience as a General Contractor's Assistant, where they worked on solar panel installations and construction projects.
Caity H. completed their Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan. Caity then pursued further education and received a Graduate Certificate in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Michigan College of Engineering. Currently, they are enrolled at the University of Maryland, where they are expected to complete their Master of Engineering (MEng) in Energy Systems Engineering by 2023.
In addition to their formal education, Caity has obtained several certifications. In May 2020, they completed the course "Beyond the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Addressing Sustainability and Development" from Coursera. Additionally, they obtained the OSHA 10 Hour Outreach Training program - Construction certification from 360training.com in July 2018. In the same year, Caity also became a Qualified Compliance Inspector of Stormwater through StormwaterONE.com in August 2018.
