Rick Kennedy, PMP

Practice Lead, Project Management Office at Encore Business Solutions

Rick Kennedy, PMP, has extensive work experience in project management roles. Rick is currently the Practice Lead for the Project Management Office at Encore Business Solutions, where they manage over 50 projects related to the Microsoft Dynamics product portfolio. Prior to this, Rick worked as a Senior Project Manager at the same company, where they were responsible for all aspects of project management for various clients.

Before joining Encore Business Solutions, Rick also gained experience as a Senior Project Manager at Sopris Systems, LLC, where they led a significant implementation project for a client in the food industry. Rick also worked as a Senior Project Manager at mcaConnect, where they managed a Dynamics AX ERP implementation project for a major international foundation.

Earlier in their career, Rick held various managerial and leadership positions at companies such as Dell Services, Sun Microsystems, Avici Systems, Sonus Networks, and Lucent Technologies. These roles allowed him to develop strong skills in software development, engineering, and system architecture.

In addition to their corporate experience, Rick has also been involved in politics, having run as a Democratic Party nominee for the office of United States Representative in Texas. Rick was responsible for establishing campaign strategies, participating in public events, and performing fundraising tasks. Overall, Rick Kennedy, PMP, possesses a well-rounded background in project management and a diverse range of industry experience.

Rick Kennedy, PMP attended Penn State University from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. In addition to their education, Rick has earned several certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in October 2022, Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in February 2017, and Managing Microsoft Dynamics Implementations from Microsoft.
