Shadrach Smith is an accomplished Obesity Medicine Specialist currently engaged with Encompass Medical Group since April 2018. Prior to this role, Shadrach served as the Director of Medical Weight Management at the Kansas Institute of Medicine and held the position of Medical Director of Weight - Health and Wellness at Kansas City Internal Medicine from July 2013 to May 2015. Shadrach's extensive experience in weight management began at Truman Medical Centers, where the role of Medical Director of the Weight Management Center was held from 2001 to 2013. Earlier in Shadrach's career, the role of Assistant Professor of Medicine was undertaken at the University of Kansas Medical Center from 1990 to 2000. Shadrach obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center after earning a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Wichita State University.
