Dr. Igor Kalkov-Streitz is a Founder & MD of emteria since 2017. From 2008 to 2011, they were a Vocational Trainer in Mathematical-Technical Software Development (MATSE), Teaching Assistant and Student Teaching Assistant at RWTH Aachen University. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Research Associate at RWTH Aachen University, Informatik 11 - Embedded Systems. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Visiting Research Scientist at the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition, where they were a team member contributing to the DARPA Robotics Challenge 2nd place win, earning $1,000,000 in June 2015. Dr. Igor also enhanced the real-time properties of the used Linux kernel and developed a distributed process management system for Boston Dynamics' Atlas humanoid robot.
Dr. Igor Kalkov-Streitz obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Informatik from RWTH Aachen University between 2006 and 2009. Dr. Igor then went on to receive a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Informatik from the same university between 2009 and 2011. During this period, they also obtained certifications from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) and two additional certifications from SimulTrain and Scrum Compact.
