Marcelo Painamil is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in Business Intelligence (BI), Big Data, and process management. Currently serving as Jefe Procesos TI - Sistemas BI at CMPC since May 2022, Marcelo oversees corporate data processing and BI systems. Prior to this role, Marcelo held multiple senior positions, including IT Development Manager and IT Teams Leader, where Marcelo provided consultancy and leadership in IT development, focusing on Big Data and IT back-office systems. With extensive experience at Cencosud S.A. from 2007 to 2021, Marcelo led the BI & Big Data technology area, managed teams, and executed significant data strategies. Marcelo's career also includes key positions at LAN Airlines, contributing to the development of financial and HR systems, and leading projects in revenue accounting. Marcelo holds a degree in Civil Engineering in Computing from Universidad de Chile, along with diplomas in Business Process Management and IT Project Management.
