Angel Cruzado has over 19 years of Human Resources experience. Angel started their career in 2002 as a Senior Human Resources Manager at Medtronic, where they were promoted twice and drove merger and acquisition value to Medtronic by integrating MiniMed. In 2006, they were recruited by Microsoft as part of a new global cross-functional HR team to support a hyper growth client, lead people operations strategies and leaders in 6 business models in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico. In 2011, they were a Human Resources Consultant at the Los Angeles Times. In 2012, they were a Director of Human Resources at Fidelity Investments, where they were responsible for driving Human Resources strategy and business partner service delivery across North America. In 2014, they were a Director of Human Resources at Kabam, where they partnered with business leaders in hiring, talent management, retention and engagement, organization design, employee relations, change management and employee communications. In 2016, they took an extended paternity leave to support their wife who was completing their graduate program at UC Berkeley. After they graduated, they engaged in human resources consulting with startups in Silicon Valley. In 2019, they were the Head of People Operations at Rogue Games, Inc., where they built the HR infrastructure. In 2020, they were a Human Resources Leader at Pearl Abyss America, Inc. Currently, they are the Head of People at Empowerly, a Series A venture-backed eduction-tech company, where they are charged with fulfilling the company's mission from the inside out.
Angel Cruzado holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Wisconsin School of Business, with a field of study in Management and Human Resources. Angel also holds a Bachelor of Science from Bentley University, with a field of study in Business Administration and Management, General.
