Shametra Paredez, CCS, CPC, CRC, is a seasoned professional in the medical coding field with extensive experience in various roles. Currently, Shametra serves as Co-Owner of ASP Cargo, LLC and works as a Remote Medical Coder for The Coding Network, specializing in cardiology coding. Additionally, Shametra is a Medical Coding Consultant for Coding Consulting Services. Previously, roles included Coding Operations Education Consultant, Cardiovascular Coding Manager I, and Division Coding Consultant at HCA Physician Services Group. Shametra began a career in healthcare as a Certified Nurse Assistant in several organizations before transitioning to medical coding. Education includes certification in medical coding and billing from Virginia College-Austin and completion of Nurse Aide training.
