David Vrba is a senior machine learning engineer at Emplifi since June 2021, contributing to data engineering projects including the development of a data lake and the deployment of machine learning models using Apache Spark. With a self-employed role as an Apache Spark trainer since 2019, David conducts trainings that span from basic to advanced topics, focusing on data science and engineering use cases. David's prior experience includes roles as a senior ML engineer and data scientist at Socialbakers, transitioning towards data engineering, as well as freelance software development and data analysis. David began a career in research at the Institute of Photonics and Electronics, and served as a teaching assistant at The University of New Mexico. David holds a PhD in theoretical physics from Charles University and two master's degrees in physics and astrophysics.
