Russell Barrett has extensive work experience in the music industry. Russell has recently worked as a Product Manager at EMPIRE starting in October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at 10K Projects where they held multiple roles including Manager of Artist Marketing from December 2020 to November 2021, and Marketing Coordinator from January 2020 to December 2020. Russell also gained experience at ICM Partners as an Assistant to the Head of Music from July 2019 to February 2020. Russell was previously employed by Universal Music Group as a Marketing & Brand Partnerships Assistant at Island Records from August 2018 to July 2019. Before that, they worked at EMVE Management Group as an A&R from January 2016 to January 2018. Russell also had a temporary position at Universal Music Group as an Urban Promotions Coordinator at Republic Records from March 2017 to July 2017, and as a Digital Marketing Coordinator from November 2016 to March 2017. Their career in the music industry began with an internship at Def Jam Recordings from June 2015 to August 2015.
Russell Barrett pursued their education by completing an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Marketing at SUNY Orange from 2012 to 2014. Subsequently, they went on to enroll at Hofstra University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Public Relations, studying from 2014 to 2016.
