Daniel Bender is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in both scuba instruction and product management. Currently serving as an Open Water Instructor at SSI Scuba Schools International since September 2019 and General Manager at East Coast Divers since September 2018, Daniel oversees business operations and teaches scuba while guiding certified divers on various diving excursions. In addition, Daniel plays a critical role as the Training Administrator at East Coast Divers, focusing on course scheduling and curriculum development. With a solid background in product management from Empatica, Inc. and Affectiva, Daniel has successfully managed service engagements and contributed to exploratory research involving biometric data. Daniel began their career as an Administrative Assistant at MIT, supporting the Affective Computing Research Group. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
