Patrick Chu has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Patrick started their career as a Network and System Engineer at Hong Kong Top One Technology in 1999. In 2006, they joined Emotiv Systems Pty Ltd as a Software Engineer and worked there until 2009. Patrick then joined Ruzz TV, where they initially worked as a Software Engineer, developing and maintaining television workflow automation solutions. Patrick later became a Staff Software Engineer, responsible for highly customized solutions for broadcast operations. In 2012, Patrick joined EMOTIV as a Senior Software Architect & Lead, where they contributed to the development of innovative neurotechnology solutions. Over the years, they progressed within the company and held various roles, including Technical Director and Director of Software Engineering. Currently, Patrick serves as the VP of Engineering at EMOTIV.
Patrick Chu completed their primary education at SKH Good Shepherd Primary School, A.M. from 1990 to 1996. Patrick then attended Bishop Hall Jubilee School for their high school education, which they completed from 1996 to 2001. Subsequently, Patrick enrolled at UNSW, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours Class 1) degree in Computer Engineering from 2002 to 2006.
