Michael Hödlmoser has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Michael started their career as a Software Engineer and Master Thesis Preparation at SAGEMCOM in 2008, followed by a role as a C++ Software Engineer at Vasco Data Security in 2009. Michael then worked as a Research Associate at Vienna University of Technology and as a Technical Project Manager at CogVis GmbH from 2009 to 2013. In 2012, Michael was a Visiting PhD Student at ETH Zurich. Michael also worked as a Postdoctoral Scientist at AIT - Austrian Institute of Technology in 2013. From 2014 to 2016, they served as a Technical Project Manager at Siemens, managing 3D reconstruction and thermal imaging projects. In 2016, Michael became a Researcher at B&R Industrial Automation. Currently, they are the CTO at emotion3D, where they lead a team of 30+ engineers in developing in-cabin monitoring computer vision solutions for the automotive industry. Additionally, Michael is an External Expert for the European Commission, evaluating research proposals.
Michael Hödlmoser completed their Matura degree at BÂÜÀòÂÒÂ× Mittersill from 1999 to 2003. Michael then attended the Fachhochschule Salzburg from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a DI(FH) degree in Information Technology and Systems Management. In 2006, Michael participated in a Study Abroad Program at Hawaii Pacific University. Finally, from 2009 to 2013, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) with Distinction in Computer Science at the Technische Universität Wien.
