Susan Gierthy is an experienced instrumental music educator specializing in woodwind instruments. Susan has taught at various schools and organizations, including the Emma Willard School, Averill Park High School, and the South Colonie Central School District. Susan is also a freelance performer and private music teacher, skilled in oboe, English horn, clarinet, flute, bassoon, saxophone, woodwind doubling, reed-making, and music theory. Susan holds a Master of Music degree from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Music degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
