Michael Zelem started their work experience as a freelance website developer in 2001. Michael then worked at RNR Design Group as a website developer from an unknown start date until June 2011. From June 2011 to August 2015, Michael worked at iTriage, LLC as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead. After that, they joined Birdbox, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer from April 2014 to October 2015. Michael then joined DispatchHealth as a Senior Lead Software Engineer from September 2015 to January 2023. Currently, they are working at CaringOnDemand as a Principal Software Engineer since January 2023.

Michael Zelem attended Metropolitan State University of Denver from 2001 to 2008, where they graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Michael also pursued a minor in Mathematics during their time at the university.
