Stephen J Pope is the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Shared Services at Emirates Steel. In this role, he is responsible for managing its financial operations, including cash flow and financial planning, as well as analyzing the company’s financial performance and controlling all financing arrangements.

Pope brings to the role a wealth of experience spanning 37 years in the professional services and industrial sectors.

In addition to his responsibilities across various financing and support functions, he is a member of the EXCO group and all company-wide management committees including, inter alia, sales pricing, procurement, operations planning, project management, and disciplinary.

Prior to joining Emirates Steel, he was a partner with KPMG’s Abu Dhabi office, managing audit and corporate finance engagements for clients in the industrial, oil and gas, and financial services sectors. Pope previously worked with KPMG in both the UK and Luxembourg.

Stephen J Pope holds a Bachelor’s in Business Studies from the University of Bradford Management Centre in the United Kingdom. A qualified charted accountant, he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
