Akiedah Mohamed is an experienced professional in the fields of education, media freedom, and writing. Currently serving as an English Language Teacher at EMG Education since April 2023 and a Programme Manager for Media Freedom and Digital Rights at OSF-SA since January 2018, Akiedah has played a pivotal role in shaping strategic priorities within the organization while managing grants and engaging with civil society. Previous teaching experience includes a position as an ESL Teacher at the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation in Saudi Arabia. In addition to a strong background in writing, which encompasses interpreting briefs and creating content across various platforms, Akiedah has held significant roles including Audiovisual Manager at the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism and Co-Chair of SASFED, the South African Screen Federation. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cape Town and a Master of Fine Arts currently pursued at AFDA.
