Jennifer Abele, MD, MBA, currently serves as Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Sibley Memorial Hospital, a position held since September 2014, where responsibilities include overseeing safety and quality metrics, coordinating professional performance evaluations, and leading emergency department operations. Abele is also an Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins Medicine and attends to patients in the Emergency Department as a member of Emergency Medicine Associates. Notable achievements include spearheading a department expansion, significantly improving patient satisfaction scores, and implementing electronic medical records. Abele holds an MBA in Health Care Management from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School, an MD from The George Washington University School of Medicine, and completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, as well as earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Wake Forest University.
