Chris Nicol is an experienced Electrical Engineer with a diverse background in electronics and firmware development. At SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris is part of a cross-functional team focused on creating hardware for innovative DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Previous roles include Firmware Engineer at the same company, where Chris developed firmware and diagnostic tools, and Electronics Contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, responsible for the design and repair of educational devices. Chris also served as a Teaching Assistant at University of Calgary, aiding in laboratory sessions and evaluation processes. Earlier experience includes work as an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom, contributing to control systems for forestry harvester units. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
