Dr. Joachim P.H. Schupp, MD, Dr. med. has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Joachim P.H. began their career in 1984 as a Registrar Internal Medicine/Rheumatology at the University Hospital Pretoria in South Africa. In 1985, they joined Ciba-Geigy2 as a Clinical Research Physician/International Project Leader. From 1996 to 2004, they worked at Novartis as an Executive Director Project Management/Global Project Leader. Joachim P.H. then moved to ProSanos Corporation as Vice President Clinical Data Services. In 2006, they joined Adventrx Pharmaceuticals as Vice President Medical Affairs. From 2009 to 2011, they were the Chief Medical Officer at Imprimis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Transdel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Joachim P.H. then served as a Vice President Clinical and Regulatory Affairs at HUYA Bioscience International from 2014 to 2019. Most recently, they have been the Chief Medical Officer at Emerald Health Pharmaceuticals since 2019.

Joachim P.H. Schupp, MD, Dr. med. began their educational career in 1974 by obtaining an Associate Degree in Veterinary Medicine from Freie Universität Berlin. Joachim P.H. then continued their studies at Freie Universität Berlin, obtaining an M.D. in 1982 and a Dr. med. in 1983. In 1983, they began a Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, obtaining a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in 1986.
