Charis Simms has worked in various roles in the telecommunications industry since 1997. Charis began their career as an Assistant to the CEO/Office Manager at Hills and Company. In 2001, they served as a Staff Associate Program Intern at SPRINT CORPORATION. From 2002 to 2003, they worked at BellSouth Corporation as a Senior Manager in eSupport and Integrated Marketing. In 2003, they moved to BellSouth International as a Senior Manager in Device Management and Marketing. From 2004 to 2006, they worked at BellSouth Corporation as a Senior Manager in Online Markets Group. From 2006 to 2008, they were a Senior Manager in Wholesale Product Operations at Earthlink Municipal Networks. From 2008 to 2012, they were a Senior Product Manager in Device Marketing and a Senior Device Product Development Manager at AT&T Mobility. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Director in Mobile Device and Accessory Product Management at Cricket Wireless. Finally, from 2014 to 2019, they were a Director in Device Portfolio & Product Management at AT&T. In 2019, they were appointed as Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations at Emblem Solutions.
Charis Simms attended Ladue High School before going on to Georgetown University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service degree in Non-Western History & Diplomacy in 1994. Charis then attended UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where they earned their MBA in International Business & Sustainable Enterprise in 2002. In the same year, they also attended the University of the Witwatersrand for Business.
