Kevin McNamara has a diverse work experience, beginning with a role as an Engineer at Telstra in 1987. In 2001, they moved to Collison & Co as a Patent and Trade Marks Attorney. Kevin then joined Signostics as an Intellectual Property Manager and Patents and Trade Marks Attorney in 2007. Most recently, they have been the Intellectual Property and Regulatory Manager at Embertec Pty Ltd since 2012.

Kevin McNamara attended the University of Adelaide from 1983 to 1986, graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Kevin then attended the University of Adelaide again from 1998 to 2000, obtaining an MBA. Lastly, they attended the University of Technology Sydney from 2001 to 2003, obtaining a Master of Intellectual Property.
