Sarah Shannon is a skilled Satellite Data Analyst specializing in Coal Mine Methane at Ember since September 2023. With extensive research experience, Sarah served as a Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol from January 2018 to July 2024, focusing on glacier melting and water security in Central Asia. Notable contributions include the development of a snow and glacier melt model and probabilistic forecasting for the Naryn River in Kyrgyzstan. Additionally, Sarah participated in a data science bootcamp at Science to Data Science, where a computer vision tool for measuring weld properties was created in collaboration with the Electrical Power Research Institute.
