Wilhelm Tranheden has a diverse background in deep learning research and computer vision engineering. Wilhelm is currently working as a Deep Learning Researcher at EmbeDL since April 2021. Prior to that, Wilhelm worked at Volvo Cars as a Computer Vision Engineer from July 2020 to April 2021. During their time at Volvo Cars, they also served as a Master Thesis Student, where they conducted research in semi-supervised learning and unsupervised domain adaptation for semantic segmentation. Wilhelm'sthesis work led to the publication of two papers in WACV 2021. Before their role at Volvo Cars, Wilhelm gained practical experience as a Research Engineer Intern at Smart Eye in 2019. In this position, they applied deep learning techniques to remote photoplethysmography using near-IR cameras for driver monitoring, showcasing the potential for application in real-time demos.
Wilhelm Tranheden completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering Physics at Chalmers University of Technology from 2015 to 2018. Wilhelm then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Complex Adaptive Systems at the same university from 2018 to 2020. In January 2021, they obtained the Scrum Foundations certification from Scrum Alliance. Furthermore, there is a mention of their attendance at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2018; however, no degree or field of study is specified for this period.
