Dr. S P Pandey has extensive work experience in the agricultural industry. Dr.S P worked as the Chief Marketing & Technical Officer at EM3 Agriservices Pvt. Ltd. from July 2019. Prior to that, they held various roles at Escorts Limited, starting as the Chief General Manager in May 2011. Dr.S P later became the Head of the Business Unit Central, where they managed farm mechanization, agriculture equipment sales, and key accounts. Dr.S P also served as the National Head of Implement Business, where they played a crucial role in the development and launch of new products and contributed to the exponential growth of the company. Finally, they served as the Associate Vice President at Escorts Limited from November 2014 to July 2019.

Dr. S P Pandey has an extensive education history. Dr.S P obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bhopal University between 1977 and 1983. Dr.S P further pursued their education at SATI Vidisha, where they completed another BE in Mechanical Engineering from 1978 to 1983.

In 1988, Dr. Pandey enrolled at CRIM UTD BU Bhopal, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya between 2009 and 2014.
