Balázs Szabó is a software engineer with experience in various roles. Balázs is currently working at Elypta as a Software Engineer since August 2022. Prior to that, they were a Software Developer at Calmark Sweden AB from August 2020 to August 2022. Balázs also worked as a Firmware Developer at Norma Diagnostika from September 2017 to July 2018. Additionally, Balázs gained experience as an Engineering Intern at the Antal Bejczy Center for Intelligent Robotics from June 2016 to August 2016. During their internship, they developed a Laparoscopic Box Trainer with an anatomically relevant pelvic phantom for simulating the surgical removal of the prostate gland. Balázs Szabó completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Budapest University of Technology and Economics from 2014 to 2018. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, which they successfully completed from 2018 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Balázs Szabó obtained certifications in the field of medical devices and software validation. Balázs obtained the IEC 62304 certification from Medical Device HQ in June 2021. Furthermore, they received certification in the validation of software for Quality Management System (QMS) processes, specifically ISO 13485, from Key2Compliance™.
