Vincent Quemener

Research Engineer at ELSYS Design

Vincent Quemener has a diverse work experience in various research and engineering roles. Vincent currently works as a Research Engineer at Mitsubishi Electric R&D Centre Europe - France since April 2021. Prior to that, Vincent worked as a Contractor at Elsys Design from 2015, where they focused on power electronics, including design, control, and testing of inverters for automotive applications. Vincent also conducted FEM simulations of power transistors and designed a test bench for a motor driven by a labVIEW PXIe controller.

Before Elsys Design, Vincent was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oslo from 2012 to 2014. During this time, they investigated defects in mono-crystalline Solar Silicon and conducted electrical characterization techniques to analyze oxygen-related defects. Vincent also simulated the kinetic generation and evolution of these defects.

Vincent obtained their PhD from the University of Oslo, where they focused on the electrical characterization of Bulk and Thin Film Zinc Oxide. Specifically, they investigated deep defects in the band gap of ZnO and interface states between ZnO and Si.

Additionally, Vincent gained experience as an Engineer trainee at Texas Instruments in 2008 and as a Research trainee at the University of Tuebingen in 2007. At Texas Instruments, they had a brief role, while at the University of Tuebingen, they focused on investigating semiconductor based on Cr2O3 (CTO) for gas sensor applications, including synthesis of CTO and analyzing its gas sensitivity and conduction mechanism through admittance spectroscopy.

Vincent Quemener completed their education in a chronological order, starting with a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science at Université de Rennes I from 2005 to 2006. Vincent then pursued a Master of Science in Materials Science at the same institution from 2006 to 2008. Finally, Vincent went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics at the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2009 to 2012.
