Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions, particularly in the field of educational technology. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has contributed to the development of hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and various educational devices. Prior to this role, Chris worked as a firmware engineer at SMART Technologies, focusing on firmware and diagnostic tools for similar products. Experience as an electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation involved electronics design and repair for educational devices, while a teaching assistant role at the University of Calgary included conducting labs and grading for electronic circuits courses. Earlier in the career, Chris worked as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, developing control systems for the forestry industry. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
