Ziyi Dang has a diverse work experience in architecture and engineering. Starting in 2012, they worked as a Graduate Electrical Engineer at Santos Ltd, where they reviewed drawings, prepared reports, and coordinated with contractors to adhere to engineering standards. In 2014, they became a Project Engineer, overseeing a wellpad skid construction project and organizing progress meetings to ensure timely and budgeted completion. From 2015 to 2016, they served as an Electrical Engineer, implementing reliability schemes and preparing construction permits. In 2021, Dang worked as an Architectural Designer at DRAMS Architects and later at Mark Brand Architecture. Currently, they hold the position of Designer at ELS Architecture and Urban Design, starting in February 2022.

Ziyi Dang pursued their education at The University of Queensland, where they completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) Honours I degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2008 to 2011. Afterward, they continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree in Architecture from 2017 to 2019.
