Martin Shetty has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors and roles. Martin started their career as a Teacher of English as a second language at Soros International House, where they taught adults and children of various levels and designed custom curricula. Martin then worked as a Teacher of English as a second language at the American English School, focusing on teaching English as a second language.

Shetty's career then transitioned into software development and engineering roles. Martin served as a Guest Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where they developed software for a multi-detector prompt gamma neutron activation analysis system. Martin also worked as a Scientific Software Engineer and Software Scientist at the European Spallation Source ERIC, where they contributed to scientific software development projects.

Shetty later joined the US Army as a Contractor, providing contractor services. Martin then joined the RespiraWorks, a non-profit organization aiming to design low-cost and open-source ventilators, as a Co-Executive Director. Currently, they work at Elroy Air as an Embedded Software Engineer.
