Kara Edwards is an experienced animal care professional with a diverse background in zoological environments and education. As a Zookeeper at Elmwood Park Zoo since August 2021, Kara continues to enhance animal care and education practices. Prior experience includes serving as an Ambassador Animal Keeper for the Lehigh Valley Zoological Society and various roles at Six Flags Safari as an Animal Keeper, educator, and trainer. Kara's career also includes teaching at South Brunswick Public Schools and tutoring at Huntington Learning Center. Kara holds a degree from Rider University, earned between 2011 and 2015.
