Scott M. Grens, Ed.D., currently serves as the Superintendent of Schools for Skokie School District 68, a position held since 2024. With a robust background in educational leadership, Grens has also been the Associate Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of Innovation and Systems Management for Elmhurst District 205 Public Schools since July 2019. Prior experience includes serving as Principal of Rutledge Hall Elementary School in Lincolnwood School District 74 and as Principal of Lake View High School within Chicago Public Schools. Grens began the educational career as an English Teacher at Neuqua Valley High School before advancing through various roles in Chicago Public Schools. Academic credentials include a Doctorate of Education from National Louis University, alongside two Master's degrees in education and a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
