Sundeep Desai is a seasoned healthcare informatics professional currently serving as the Chief Medical Information Officer at Ellit Groups since June 2024 and as an Independent Consultant in Clinical Informatics since April 2019, focusing on optimizing technological investments in healthcare organizations, including the University of Washington Medical Center. Previously, Sundeep held various leadership roles at Sutter Health from January 2007 to January 2019, including Chief Health Information Officer for the Valley Operating Unit, leading informatics initiatives across multiple hospitals and clinics, and Chief Medical Information Officer overseeing EHR implementations. Sundeep also served as a Shareholder Physician in Internal Medicine at Sutter Medical Group and as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, contributing to early electronic health record adoption. Sundeep is board certified in Clinical Informatics and Internal Medicine and earned an MD from the University of Michigan Medical School.
