Kate Brooks has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Kate started their career as a Bar Manager at Lake Yard Club in 2000 and later worked as a Waitress at Storm Fish Restaurant until 2004. In 2007, they became a Support Worker at Sequal Solutions. Kate then transitioned into the legal field and joined Oliver Fisher Solicitors as a Family Law Paralegal in 2008. Kate continued their legal career at Ellis Jones Solicitors, initially as a Trainee Solicitor from 2009 to 2011 and later as a Solicitor. Currently, Kate holds the position of Partner Head of Employment Department Solicitor at Ellis Jones, specializing in employment law and providing guidance to employers and employees.

Kate Brooks attended Parkstone Grammar School, where they completed their A-Levels and GCSEs. Following this, they enrolled at Bournemouth University from 2004 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with a focus on Law. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at Guildford College of Law from 2008 to 2009, obtaining a Legal Practice Certificate (LPC) in the field of Legal Practice.
