Mark Almand

Mark Almand has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Mark started their career in 1983 as a Financial Writer, Editor, and Manager at First Marketing Company, where they eventually became the VP and Director of the Financial Division. Mark worked with large banks, mutual funds, and telecommunications providers.

In 1994, Mark joined J&J Chemical as the Director of Marketing. Mark launched an internal ad agency and helped the company grow nationally before it moved into Chapter 11.

Mark then joined Elliott Wave International in 1996, initially as the Director of Marketing, where they played a crucial role in transforming it into a full-service internal digital marketing agency for financial services. Mark pioneered successful "sales content" marketing programs, global affiliate networks, and lead generation approaches. Mark later became the Director of Business Ventures and the Director of Operations, ensuring synergy among departments and implementing new approaches and systems.

Next, Mark worked at Claude's Canvas, where they authored and self-published a memoir-style book.

In 2010, Mark joined the Socionomics Institute as a Director, overseeing its growth from a startup to a staff of 10. The Institute published a monthly online subscription magazine and hosted an annual academic summit focused on studying the impact of waves of social mood on group behavior.

Currently, Mark is working as a Poet, and previously, they served as the COO of Elliott Wave International, where they worked closely with the owner and a skilled director team.

Mark Almand attended Stafford High School from 1975 to 1979. Mark then pursued higher education at the University of Connecticut from 1979 to 1983, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in English Literature.
