Arnoud Burkels serves as a Senior Adviseur Strategie en Beleid at Thuiscorporatie Elkien since December 2019, leading various projects related to housing, care, and well-being strategies. Additionally, Burkels has held the role of Gebiedsontwikkelaar at the same organization, contributing to urban development initiatives in multiple municipalities. As of January 2022, Burkels is also the Vicevoorzitter of the Raad van Commissarissen for De Bouwvereniging and a member of the Raad van Toezicht of BMS Onderwijs. Past positions include project management and policy advising for various municipalities, including interim roles and governance in community councils. Burkels has a solid educational background with degrees in Technische Planologie and Sociale Geografie from the University of Groningen and additional qualifications in financial oversight and advisory roles.
