Jihan Owens-Tyler is a dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience in counseling and therapy. Currently serving as a Faculty Lecturer and Staff Counselor with a BIPOC focus at Elizabethtown College since February 2022, Jihan provides individual, couple, and group counseling services. Concurrently, Jihan works as a Mental Health Therapist at Mind, Body & Sol. Previous roles include Director of Student Services and Guided Group Instructor at Camelot Education, Outpatient Therapist at Thoughtful Wellness, Behavior Specialist and Mental Health Therapist at Rogers Behavioral Health, and BHRS Service Coordinator at Philadelphia Mental Health Center, where Jihan managed services for 175 children. Jihan's early career includes serving as an Administrative Assistant and teaching S.T.E.P. English at Project Forward Leap. Jihan holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Shippensburg University, a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and Counseling from Chestnut Hill College, and has completed a Doctorate in Couples and Family Therapy from Drexel University, currently pursuing a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling at Antioch University New England.
