Peter Jaap Blaakmeer has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Peter Jaap is currently a Board Member at Mage-OS since 2022. In 2011, they founded their own company, elgentos ecommerce solutions, where they build ecommerce solutions for clients using Magento 2 and Shopware 6.

In 2020, they founded Tillid Media as an umbrella company for their personal media projects. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2018, they owned Blaakmeer Webdevelopment, where they built websites for companies, specializing in open source platforms like Magento and Drupal.

Apart from their entrepreneurial ventures, they co-founded 42seconds in 2012, a web-based adaptation of the board game 30 Seconds, and Game of Drones in 2013, a startup focused on developing the ShadowDrone for filming sports activities. Peter Jaap was also a co-founder of SwapIt in 2013.

Furthermore, they were instrumental in the co-founding and development of Party with a Local, a location-based website and app, from 2011 to 2013.

Peter Jaap Blaakmeer began their career as a Tester at Veridian Dynamics, a research and development conglomerate, from 2009 to 2010.

Peter Jaap Blaakmeer graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Business & ICT from the University of Groningen, where they studied Business Administration and Management from 2005 to 2011. In 2009, they also attended Aarhus University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. During their time at Aarhus University, they focused on database modeling, innovation & entrepreneurship, intercultural communication, and Japanese society. Additionally, Peter Jaap Blaakmeer has obtained several certifications in the field of web development and e-commerce, including certifications from Adobe, Magento, and Laravel.
