Ryan Neely, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of neuroscience and bioelectronic medicine. Starting their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, they gained expertise in studying homeostatic forms of plasticity in the hippocampus. Ryan then worked as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University, where they conducted independent projects on plasticity at electrical synapses in the thalamus. Ryan also performed electrophysiology experiments in brain slices.
After completing their Ph.D. at UC Berkeley, where they focused on brain-machine interfaces, Ryan joined iota Biosciences, Inc. as the Director of Systems and Design. During their time there, they contributed to the development of bioelectronic medicine technologies. Ryan later became the Director of bioelectronic medicine at the same company.
Ryan then joined Known Medicine as the Principal Scientist in Platform Operations, where they played a key role in the development of biological platforms and systems. Ryan gradually advanced to the positions of Director of Biology and Senior Director of Biology.
Currently, Ryan Neely is the VP of Science and Research at Elemind Technologies, Inc., where they continue to leverage their experience and expertise in scientific research and development.
Ryan Neely, Ph.D., completed their undergraduate education in Neurobiology at Harvard University from 2007 to 2011. Following this, they pursued further studies in Neuroscience and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of California, Berkeley, during the period of 2012 to 2017. In August 2017, they obtained their Ph.D. certification from the University of California, Berkeley.
