Rinske van der Bijl has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Rinske began their career as a Lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch in 2005, where they taught until 2011. In 2012, they joined S1 Corporation as a Technical Training Instructor for a brief period. The same year, they also started working at ACI Worldwide, initially as an Associate Technical Course Developer, then progressing to the role of Technical Course Developer, Sr Technical Course Developer, and finally serving as the Principal Technical Course Developer from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Electrum as a Product Business Analyst and later transitioned to the role of Product Manager in 2021.

Rinske van der Bijl obtained their PhD in Mathematics from Stellenbosch University during the years 2009 to 2011.
