Maile Varian is a skilled professional in lighting design and technology with experience at Walt Disney Imagineering as a Show Lighting Design Intern since August 2023, contributing to the design and installation of rides and attractions. Previously, Maile served as an EOS Staff Trainer at Electronic Theatre Controls, certified to teach levels 1-3 on the Eos Console. During graduate studies at San Diego State University from August 2020 to May 2023, Maile worked as a Graduate Assistant, engaging in both practical and theoretical aspects of lighting design and technology. Additional experience includes a role as a Lighting Controls Research Intern at The National Theatre and various positions at Electronic Theatre Controls from 2015 to 2019. Maile holds an MFA in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology from San Diego State University and a BFA in Theatrical Design and Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
